CHIOGGIA - LITTLE VENICE

After Sottomarina, the next day we went to a town called Chioggia, also called "little Venice". The whole trip of ours (ending with Verona) was my very first visit of Italy. I liked this country very much, mostly their architecture and lifestyle, as well as food. Chioggia is a charming fishing town interwined with canals and bridges. It is of Roman origin and in the Middle Ages it was the second most important city of the Venetian Republic. We had a problem later on when looking for a place for lunch, because the Italians were having their "la siesta" :) But in the end we found one and we had, among other, St Jacob mussels. Do you like the photos?
