OUR CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER

Maybe it is a bit late to post photos from the Christmas Eve, however I have to post these photos from our Christmas Eve dinner with my love. I am so happy we got to celebrate it together, too! We cooked carp with a wiener potato salad - I had it for the first time and liked it a lot thanks to its sweetness (there were some apples). And I liked the fish soup this year. Do you like the photos?

THE ONE THING WORTH WALKING THROUGH FLAMES FOR

During the Christmas holidays, me and my love enjoyed the winter outside. One day we went to Přimda, which is a city in Tachov district, in the Pilsen region. Up there is a castle, too. Everywhere around us there was a very nice nature, snow everywhere and a Christmas mountain atmosphere. I am in favour of the mountains now and I even began to like winter. Have you ever been there, too?

William Shakespeare: Sonet 116

Svazek dvou věrně milujících duší
rozdělit nelze! Láska láskou není,
pokud své slovo s první zkouškou ruší,
anebo sama ochotně se mění...
Ne! Láskou nic a nikdo neotřese,
všem strašným bouřím hledí pevně vstříc,
hvězdou jest, která září v temném lese,
dává nám směr, však je v ní mnohem víc:
Čas nemá právo Lásku bláznem zvát,
když do tváří svým srpem vrásky krouží;
Láska má schopnost věky přetrvat,
až tam, kde všechno do hrobu se hrouží.
A jestli jsem ji křivě obhajoval,
nepsal jsem nic... a nikdo nemiloval.

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when in alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O, no! It is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

THE SYMBOL OF CZECH NATIONAL HISTORY

And here it goes - the first post of 2021 - the number of this year sounds unbelievable to me and I believe that a lot of great and marvelous things are about to happen this year! I enjoyed the Christmas holidays very much this year, we enjoyed them with my dear. Besides all, we went to nice places. And one of them was the mountain "Říp". I am sure you have heard of it before. It is a symbol of the Czech national history. On the top of it, there is probably the most known romanesque rotunda of St. George and St. Adalbert. The only negative side of it was the fact that there was an enormous amount of people, visitors. But we enjoyed it anyway. And how about you, have you ever been there?
