MUSÉE DU LOUVRE

What was your weekend like? Ours was wonderful, we went to a lookout tower "Na Kotli" and we also went to see waterfalls near Spálené Poříčí. We had a great time and we also cooked a lot of tasty dishes. Today, I have got the last but one look from Paris from last year. We did not go to Louvre in the end (we wanted to see Mona Lisa), but even from the outside it was nice. And also when we returned home, I found out that there are two cafés near Louvre - Le Café Marly and Angelina Paris Musée du Louvre. We did not visit neither one of them, but I do not mind at all, we enjoyed Paris anyway. Have you ever been inside of Louvre?

PONT ALEXANDRE III

Here are some more photos from Paris from last year, photographed on the Bridge of Alexandre III. This bridge across the Seine river connects the 8. and 7. arrondisement. It is named after a russian Tsar who had concluded the Franco-Russian Alliance. It has been classified as a French monument historique. I really like it! It is the most extraordinary among the other bridges. I am very happy for these photos - with the iron lady in the background - thank you for being able to make me laugh :) Do you like them?

WALKING AROUND PARIS IN AUTUMN

Here are some yet unpublished photos from our last year's trip to Paris in autumn. Due to the cold weather I am basically wearing still the same clothes, so I am posting the photos all together. And in the upcoming days, I will add yet three separate posts. We walked the whole Paris, from the river banks of Seine river to Sacré-Cœur. I also had an idea to throw small rocks into the St. Martin canal, which I am very happy for :) I have to say once again that nobody has ever taken such beautiful photos of me... It really is possible only when the one photographing you loves you... Do you like the photos?

SOUPE A L'OIGNON GRATINÉE

First of all, I want to thank you so much for your comments and feedback! :) I really am grateful for it.
In today's post, I want to show you photos of my french onion soup (
soupe à l'oignon gratinée) that I cooked on Monday for the first time. It took me loads of time (the caramelization of the onion circa 1 hour), but it was tasty! And I saved a piece of the fresh baguette so it was a very hearty and tasty dinner. I was cooking according to a recipe by Cuketka. I only pity that I did not have the right bowls - e.g. this one with a lion's head from Butlers. Have you ever tried to cook this soup, or tasted it?

OCTOBER IN PICTURES

This month was not the happiest for me... But still I managed to find some nice moments and capture them. Let me know if something catched your eye! E.g. cooking orecchiette with a tomato sauce, trying a coffee from the mocca kettle, running,... What was your october like?

CHERRY PRINTED BLOUSE

How is your Sunday going? Now I am not a shopaholic at all and even the less when it comes to e-shops, I rather wear the clothes I already have. But on Friday, I received my package from Simple Retro, which is a New York based shop selling vintage clothes in a high quality. I ordered a dress, a sweater and this blouse. I really like it! Be sure to check out their website and let me know what you think of this style!
